GNUbg does not save computer player name

I edit the PLAYERS settings to change the name of my oponent (computer). GNUbg saves the settings giving the message: Settings saved to C:\Documents and Settings\Leo\.gnubg\gnubgautorc. (Note the message is shown twice in the message box).

However, the change does not seem to take place; the old name stays, even if I exit and run the program again.

I have worked around it by editing the position and changing the player name, then the change takes.

Not a big deal, but may as well report it.
