What I missed here is that my opponent will hit loose on my 24p very often. After playing 10/6 8/4(3) - that was my play - he would hit with 12, 23, 25, 34, 36, 45, 56, and 44 (15 numbers!) That case I would be much better to have 4p board made. Also I might get a fly shot too.
Getting hit (on 8p and 10p) is costly but it is not end of the world. I will have some return shot from the bar.
As many of you pointed out, I will have many more numbers to improve my side of the board by making 4p and 2p.
I didn't want to leave six shots when I am up so much in the race and simply wanted to coming out from 24p, but with those reasons my play was off by a lot.
