One of the problems you may be having trying to understand why hitting two is correct may be because of the cube again. When you hit two and he enters just one checker for example by hitting you back on the two point you're supposed to cube him out. The bot knows this, the bot does this. If you play safe you allow your opponent to anchor up, escape a checker, or keep you busy by attacking your checkers on the other side of the board until he is able to anchor up/escape. Your big advantage now is your board strength and all the men in the zone. The six can really only be played one of two ways and the other way, safe, is too passive for the position. Hit two, cash a lot of the time, play on other times, and still be ahead almost all the rest of the time.
