XG on a Mac

Wine is a no-go. We recently discussed it here http://www.bgonline.org/forums/webbbs_config.pl?noframes;read=99619 . Although the subject is Ubuntu, the same applies to a Mac.

With that being said XG will work in Virtual Machine software running on a Mac. The performance won't be the same but it does function well. You will however need a valid windows license to run inside the virtual machine.

Most popular VM Software are VMWare Fusion http://communities.vmware.com/community/vmtn/desktop/fusion , and Parallels http://www.parallels.com/
