You seem to need a reality check !

Where does the added money come from?

Who in this world in his right ming would give money away for nothing in return?

Backgammon is not a homogenic group. You canīt qualify or quantify the group for any marketing person to give you money, except for the fact that itīs 98% male ! BG players are not gamblers (they know odds), bg players are not big spenders (they even find a way to save $5 on a hotel room and bring their own bottle of water and sandwich), bg players are not exactly the type of person you put on the cover of GQ magazine (not giving any names but you know who you are), bg players canīt even leave a clean board, table, chair or playing spot once theyīve completed their matches (this, at least, applies to 90% of the players).

Name the sponsor for added money under these circumstances. Why do you think most of the added money tournaments have vanished?
