The commentators are all free to determine their own approaches. We will be having wide range of skills represented in audience so best to make comments understandable by all.

That does not mean a commentator cannot do an analysis that would make sense and be appreciated by most players.

My personal view is the commentator should point out alternative game plans, confictlng concepts of play, reference positions, and approaches to solving tactical problems. Of course score implications are important to point out as well.
