1. Normally I play two out, but here blue is so far behind in the race and white can get trouble with her timing also. 13/2.

2. White hits almost 15 % of the time. Add 4 pips of wastage for blue in the race, and Kleinman gives 21^2/159 = 441/159 = 2.8, 12 %. This is a bit high because of 33 and 66 which plays badly. The rolls that don't leave a shot is a little bit higher that average, but also the hitting numbers are generally bad racing numbers for white. All in all but gives you an estimate. 15 % + 10 % of the 85 % that miss is about borderline for a take. In these positions I normally just try to see if I can get 10 % in the race to take.

3. Again a prat drop.

4. The pay now variant does not get rid of all your problems, so I play safe and pray.

5. When ahead, race. 11/6 24/22, get ready to race with the back checker and safety the other blot
