From XG2 help file:
Batch Rollout
Batch rollout allow you to schedule a move (or cube action to be rolled later). This is very useful if you analyze a few games after a night of online playing. You analyze them using which ever level you use but there are a few move on each session that you'd like to roll to either understand the position better or to verify the computer got it right. However you do not have time to wait foe each session to be rolled. Then batch rollout is for you.
In that scenario here is what you would do:
Open session 1
Navigate to any decisions that you want to roll and use the menu "Batch rollout>Mark for later analyze" (you can also use the little clock icon in analyze tab or use Shift+Ctrl+T) note that the move/cube schedule show a little clock icon next to them in the analyze tab and move list. Open session 2
repeat what you have done for the previous session Repeat for all session When you are done
Open the batch rollout dialog (Menu "Batch rollout>Select game to roll") Select the rollout setting you like to use. Press "Start" Go to bed Wake up and go to your computer Hopefully by then all the rollout will be completed. The list will show you your progress. If you want to review, select a game and press "Open" the session
The schedule icons will now show green as the rollout has been completed. Here are the detail of all the features on the batch rollout dialog.
The top area show the list of sessions that have any rollouts scheduled. You can change the order they will be processed using the up and down icon the right. you can manually add or remove a session using the "plus" and "X" icons on the right.
The second section from the top has the following buttons:
Skip file: Mark the selected session to be skipped (the green check mark will disappear)
Open: Open the session selected.
Auto Mark: Open the file and use the default auto mark setting to mark which move to roll.
Remove all done: Remove all the session from the list that have been completed.
The last section allows you to pick how the rollouts will be performed. You can pick one of the preset rollout or one of the ones you customized. Use the "change setting" to change the length, seed etc...
The set of radio button allows you configure what to do if your are batch rolling a decision already rolled.
Note that the Batch rollout dialog is modeless, so you can access the main window and checked the decision rolled so far (only for the game currently loaded). If you close the game or attempt to load another one, you will be prompted if you want to stop the batch rollout process.
Do nothing: Will skip the rollout. It will, however, mark it as completed. Always override: the existing rollout will be discarded and a new one with the settings picked will start. Extend Existing: the rollout will be extended (the length is doubled)
