Making the 5 is a bit too big for me, after all we are facing the best possible 3-point board, and it is a lot of shots we are leaving. On the other hand, the safe 8/7 8/6 leaves a weak distribution and would make it difficult to improve.

I would go with 13/11 8/7:

- Keeps the 7 point

- Leaves good distribution for making the 5

- Breaks one of the points causing us trouble

- Hits from white's midpoint will reduce outfield control and leave many returns.
