Moving the rear checker is out of the question. We need to maximize contact.

Playing down from the midpoint, 13/7, appears natural, but I think it would make it too easy for XG Roller+ to diversify in the outfield. He's all stacked up right now, and would love to hit a blot on the midpoint while bringing down one or two checkers. We should plan to abandon the midpoint when we next roll a non-one.

The question, then, is whether to slot the two point or not. By leaving two blots, we invite XG Roller+ to play loose himself, but I favor the diversification it gives us.

My play: 8/2

Mike
