Perhaps it's a matter of terminology. Even if White anchors, White will typically try to win going forwards in the sense of hitting a shot soon.

Blue is on roll, him having three blots isn't a concern.

I don't understand. You're saying that none of the 1296 possibilities (Blue rolls and moves, White rolls and moves) involve White hitting Blue?
