This seems to contradict your assertion that this problem illustrates that humans will never be as good as bots. If the play is so obviously correct to you, a human being, then the problem demonstrates nothing about the superiority of bots over humans. In fact, it demonstrates the superiority of humans over bots, because some bots (XG 2-ply) get it wrong, whereas you get it right.
