Although it seems natural to cover the blot on the five point, doing so will create a problem when we roll a one next time. That will happen, of course, in 30% of the cases. Much less often will we hit a blot that XG has been forced to expose, and then find ourselves wishing we had made the five point.

As I said in the discussion of the last move, we should plan to abandon the midpoint the next time we roll a non-one. That time is now.
