Re: that cute 52 play vs backgame. I saw the play but anchored and hit since there's no way to recover the 4 pt without breaking the prime and I am concerned about Black sometimes improving his game by making my 4 pt. That being said, there will be plenty of times when the wild hit will later result in a crashed mess for our opp. However, he may often crash anyhow. Perhaps another factor since I think the plays are very close is that I think more G's are lost by breaking the 4 pt. If more G's are won, there's no gain from them AtS.

My XGR++ is set to gigantic SI and found this play without it needing to be forced thru.

I've started a 4 ply RO (will take til tomorrow morning since I want several K or more games) and then I need to get this comp back to a more important project. Hopefully XG2 4 ply can play reasonably well from here. I think it can and suspect the two choices are very close.

Yes, indeed many humans would never see 4/2x 5/1x without QF and too many simply are too passive and uncreative vs developing backgames and then blame it on bad luck when they lose to it later on.
