I often see quite a few misplays when I transcribe matches from video to XG. No one sees them, so no one corrects them, with or without a 'legal-play' rule

So you're telling me you have significant data recording/inputting matches where they were playing legal moves and illegal moves occurred? (and you also imply it happens at least nearly as often as with the regular rules) Either I don't understand what you're saying or I don't buy it.
