You're right that most aces would bring in two checkers if possible and not only on the first roll. My methodology could only be approximate. The times Blue's sequences don't allow the midpoint to be cleared are partly countered, for instance, by the times none of those sequences matter because White has already abandoned his own midpoint (rightly with 6-6, maybe slightly wrong with 5-5). There will also be sequences where (from Max's first position) Blue's first roll is 3-1 played 7/6 7/4 (9/8 7/4 is probably nearly as good) after which both aces and deuces don't allow two crossovers.
If from Max's first position the sequence is D / T / 6-1 9/3 7/6 / 5-2 9/4 8/6 / 5-1 ? to reach this position ...
Blue to play 51
White 101
Blue 91 Position ID: 9HYsBgDV9iIGAA Match ID: QYkGAAAAAAAA
... bearing in two checkers with 10/5 7/6 is probably a small error (less than 0.010 ?).
On the other hand if the sequence after D/T had been 6-1 ... 4-4 ... 5-1 ?, evening up the race in this position ...
Blue to play 51
White 92
Blue 91 Position ID: 9N4RBgDV9iIGAA Match ID: QYkGAAAAAAAA
... then 10/5 7/6 is probably very slightly correct. Perhaps someone would do some decent rollouts to confirm or deny my "probably's."
