#1 Scary, 'cause you know if you double you're going to give a double shot, right? But we have 5 clearing rolls now, and whenever White misses that double shot, most of our wins are gammons. Double/pass.
#2 We're far far away from a forward game so forget about hitting. And being so far away we should have plenty of time to make our 5 point if we don't do it now. And a 2-3 game should play better than 1-3 -- we want contact against that 8 point and, should everything go wrong, I'll fall back on the fewer-win 2 point game instead of the more gammon ace point game. So 24/22 23/22(2) although it sure looks bizarre leaving that 6 point stacked!
#3 I'd risk, if that's the word, a 3rd checker back to stop White from anchoring on the bar point. 11/7* 6/2* 13/9(2).
#4 I think we want to attack and have five builders in place if not hit from the bar, so I play 13/11* 6/2* instead of 13/11*/7, which doesn't look bad. 24/20 22/20 is too soft with 2 back vs. 1 back, an even race, and no boards made on either side.
#5 Since we're up 55 pips and have plenty of checkers to make waiting plays with, and about 2/3 of our rolls clear, most of those rolls should be market losers. We sometimes leave a blot, sometimes a double shot, and White has the usual holding game wins ... double/take now, before it's too late.
