By default. The blot on the 11pt is not a particularly good builder (5pt already made) and White's 3 backmen get many shots at it. On the other hand, these are indirects so if White hits, he can't do anything else and 6/3* with 14/13 has its share of problems too. Even if he doesn't hit back, White will often anchor behind it and with the stripped 8pt, covering the 3pt from there may not be a bargain.
