Variable side pools and variable chouette stakes

(1) Phil Simborg's weekly Chicago tournament has something like a $10 entry fee with many optional sidepools: $10, $20 and $40. I entered them all the one time I played there.

(2) The Oakland chouette has variable stakes. I wrote software that allows each player to specify the largest stake he is willing to play for. If the box is a $10 player, he plays for $10/point again other $10 players, but $5/point against $5 players, etc. As a result, you can get $20 players and $1 players in the same chouette.
