How about two hours then? There are many restaurants that will host a group in a private room with no charge beyond the food. I'm not volunteering anyone to speak for 2 hours, but a 15 or 30 minute seminar would easily fit into that time. And of course it lets beginners and/or intermediates meet each other.

Also, if no one is available to speak, it could be a videotape playback.
