I still think that in practice this is a play on though there's really no way of ever proving it. I feel the only variation I am confident people would take would be the entering one checker on the 23pt. When I enter on the 22pt it may be a take but I expect a large amount of passes. Also, there's the small but possible vig of them taking when I enter on the 21pt. (hey, if you're giving them credit for taking correctly so often when I enter on the 22pt it's not so far fetched they take also if I enter on the 21pt) These are all variations of the rolled out example you posted.

Or what if we enter both checkers on the 22 & 23? Etc...

Stick...a big fan of playing on in general.
