Against weaker player... and vs a stronger player

I like the thinking but it must be wrong because it mirrors mine...

Against a weaker player I want to play more games so I make the 21 here.

Against a stronger player I want edgier positions where there are more gammon's and the games are decided by the dice, not skill so I make the three and come up to the 21.

Against someone who I believe is the same basic level that I am, I would make the 3 and go to the 21 because I am more comfortable with an aggressive style of play.
