Yes. Note that an EPC cannot be irrational:
1) There is an integer N that is an upper bound for the number or rolls that will be needed.
2) If one looks at each of the 36^N equally likely possibilities for the next N rolls each can be assigned to how many rolls it caused the position to be borne off in.
3) Thus the probability of a position requiring A rolls has the form of an integer/ (36^N) for each A.
4) The EPC calculation is (49/6) X [summation over A of A x(Pr(takes A turns)]. Since a product of rational numbers is rational and a finite sum of rational numbers is rational an EPC must be rational. 5 X pi/3 is not.
