If you have 2 dice and roll them and you are looking for the probability of one (or both) of the values being the value you need, you can first find the chances of not seeing it. If you look at each die individually the first die would have a 5/6 chance of not having it. Multiple that by the chances of the other not having the value (5/6). (5/6)*(5/6)=25/36. The chances of seeing the value at least once is then 1-25/36=11/36 .
Now if you roll a pair of dice a second time multiply by 11/36. So we have (11/36)*(11/36) = 121/1296 = .0934 = 9.34%
