Without the QF all I'd have been thinking about here is whether to slot the 1 with 8/1 or to play more safely with 10/5 8/6. Presented as a problem, I can cook up the idea of 20/18 with the 2, getting a lot more shots as the three checkers come around. To blot on the 20 point looks effectively safe from the direct shot, since hitting with 19/20 leaves 3 blots to clean up in the board with the rest of the roll. However the shots to hit on the 18, possibly also hitting on the 20 or covering the 19 are scary, and there's not much chance I'd actually talk myself into playing it.
