Nigel Merrigan's formula

The Metric was designed for pip orientated races
In a pipish race with negligible wastage on the ace/deuce, the cut-off point for the PLT according to Trice is 20 pips.
How much wastage does there need to be in a "pipish" race for the Metric to be reliable? I would guessimate between 3 and 4% (maybe higher) of the PC where wastage exists on the ace/deuce. In Daniel's post: "How much do crossovers matter again", white's PC is 78 and the wastage is between 2 and 3 pips.
What percentage of a race position needs to be pipish for the PLT to be applicable?
There seems to be more questions than answers at this time but if anything I'm glad you asked them.
