We're very close in the race after the roll, which means our timing for a shot is suspect... it's clear that White won't be coughing up anything soon, as he has plenty of timing to fiddle with his spares before cracking his bar.

I slightly prefer D, since this gears more towards an efficient bear off structure (outer board checkers aimed at high points in our home board) in case we hop up or out with doubles next roll. If we don't roll those hopping doubles in the next few rolls, we will end up taking the closed board route anyways... so why rush to this game plan if we're likely to end up there anyways?
