With four checkers back, I generally like to put a checker on the 5pt when I can. The awkwardness of the distribution here gives me pause, but I'd still do it. Then, unpiling the 24pt while making an advanced anchor seems like a higher priority than covering the 5pt (trading it for the 8pt) or making the 3pt. That dictates my play, which is therefore c (cross, bar/22, 24/21(2) 8/5), shown in the right-hand position; I'd do that at pretty much any score except gammon save, in case that is part of the question. Note that some of White's 4s are duplicated; she shouldn't even hit with 31 (or 11).
