Early game decision: hit or anchor?

In Response To: Early game decision: hit or anchor? (Timothy Chow)

I'd anchor because Blue is already a lot up in the race and I am not sure what the benefit is from sending another checker back. I think Blue would like the hitting to stop so that he can make one more good offensive point and turn the cube.
