Several years ago, after discovering that not even experts anchor enough, I wrote an article on Anchor vs Hit with 54 (from the roof) for ChicagoPoint.

With a 22-pip lead and only a one-point board, anchoring looks clear to me in the feature (left-hand) position.

On the right, White's 23pt blot has been moved out to her midpoint, cutting Blue's lead from 22 pips to 12. That's a huge change, and maybe Blue should hit now, but in any case the decision should be relatively close.

If you alter the right-hand position by nudging White's 22pt anchor back to her 23pt, Blue should surely anchor with 54 again.
