I don't think there is a meaningful way to define "error rate on tough problems." If two people try exactly the same set of problems then you can compare performance, but otherwise it doesn't make any sense. For example, in Hickey and Storer's book, they deliberately steer clear of problems where the top two plays are close in equity. Stick doesn't do that for his DQRs. Even if every position has only two plausible plays, one's probability of choosing the top play is not going to be directly proportional to the equity difference between the two plays. So even if you do a large number of problems, your error rate will still depend on the choice of problem set.

Anyway, you might want to try my Checkerplay Challenge to see how you like the problems. I'm in the process of creating a second Challenge but it won't be ready for a while yet.
