Your comments provided too much QF for me to assess this position objectively, but I'll try. OTB I would have looked at 6/2(2) for a long time but would not have been sure that it was correct. In particular, if I were the captain in our consulting chouette, I would not have been sure enough of it to override what I know would have been unanimous incredulity.

The merits of 6/2(2) are clear enough. It fills in the dangerous gap on the 2pt. We have such a crushing race lead that we don't care about containing White; we care about not getting hit. It's quite difficult to fill in the 2pt naturally, and if we're forced to leave a blot there later, White's board/prime will be very strong.

What makes the decision not so clear to me is that I can't quite assess how likely we are to get hit after 6/2(2). 11/3 leaves an immediate indirect shot but 11/7(2) looks pretty inflexible, with some longer-term blotting danger.
