I want to take this, but Blue's advantage is everywhere -- race, position, control, diversification, threat. Give Blue a mediocre roll, like one of the worst of the 33 numbers that make the 5 point. Now about half of White's numbers play fine, making a point, or two, maybe a fly shot. But the other half are ugly, and White's already ugly. Maybe a few outfield hits followed by a fan get White to about even, the little doublets are nice, anything that makes a point keeps White in the game as long as the bar point is open, but still half of White's responses leave him a lot worse off. That seems to add up to a pass.
