I agree, but is anything not garbage here? My gut feeling is that XG2 rollouts should be O.K. for "normal-looking" backgames with four or five checkers back and at least a semblance of a prime for the opponent. Beyond that, I have my doubts. I know for sure that for extreme backgames (like the one you played against Paul Money not long ago), I would not trust an XG2 rollout for any non-obvious play. Where do you think the cutoff lies?
