It appears to me that Blue's road to victory here is to retain his triple anchor at all costs. I would tend to therefore reject any play that may hit at the price of giving up one of those anchors. I may be way off base but in position # one I would play 11/6; 10/4.

In position #2 the same theme applies & I would play 10/5; 18/12. Note how 4's are duped here. Position #3 I play bar21;21;20/15. This duplicates 5's so Blue can't hit & make his 9 point, too. We don't want Blue making the 9 point here.

In position #4 I think it's rather crucial to hit. Blue can't afford to give White a full roll here to safety his checker or hit on the 23 point. I play 15/9*.

This is the type game that Blue can turn the game around but it will be a slow process.
