It truly was a most impressive event, and the long-term results of having top mathematics professors and students from around the country learning respect for Backgammon could be terrific. We already have several of the attendees making plans to start backgammon clubs at their schools.

But while we're passing around kudos to those of us who were there, let's not forget to give a huge share of the credit to Perry for pushing and supporting this effort in every way. And let's not forget all the people who have joined and supported the USBGF--without their support there would be no organization and there would be no programs like this and the many others that are revitalizing backgammon in the U.S.
