I agree that your suggestion would also help reduce misinterpretation of the statistics and would support you if it came to a vote.

Once in a while, though, I find those "meaningless" statistics interesting because it helps me gain some feeling for just how much the checker play differs according to score. But I'd happily sacrifice that luxury for the sake of getting "actual statistics" that would finally get the bots to help us understand recube vig.
