ABT Dead Cube rule needs revision

Alas, stuff happens in real life. At a tournament I directed, a player leading 3-away many-away redoubled to 4, was redoubled to 8, lost the game and later the match.
This is light years different then recubing leading 2 away 4 away for example. (or recubing at any score where you're 2 away and they're many away)
If it is legal, then under current rules Player B can't disallow A's double
Again, call a director and I will lay heavy odds my illegal action of disallowing A to cube will be upheld every day of the week. That's why the first rule exists:
No set of rules should deprive the Director of his freedom of judgment or prevent him from finding the solution dictated by fairness and compatible with the circumstances of a particular case.
