In Response To: Playing against 53P or 55P (Nack Ballard)

I think you are right that the appearance of the run made me miss that the margin had narrowed as much as it had. Similarly, while I wouldn't claim to have been completely unaware of the change in the race in the last position, I wasn't giving it as much attention as I should have. Let me stop trying to provide my own explanations and just ask: what should one be looking at when somewhat behind in the race in deciding whether to split men from the 24-point?
