The go question was more of a joke about how much I've been pestering you for info rather than a serious request - I really did have a position I was trying to figure out, but I wouldn't expect useful advice without more details and in any case, as you say, this isn't really the place. Your post was helpful though, so thanks for writing it. We can stop the thread after this, I just didn't want to be rude by asking the question and then seeming to ignore your reply.

As for my game, if you're curious: My opponents outside position felt a bit too strong for me to be comfortable with something like C6, and I probably should have just reduced from the outside, but I played the rather crude attachment at C5 and then another to his extension, cross-cut and extended, then ran like hell towards the center. I'm afraid I've been away from go for so long that that is what passes for sabaki in my game these days.

Thanks again for the response, I'll keep my questions here to backgammon in the future.
