You're probably right, Casper. However,my suggested play has immediate dividends, if missed. Now, Blue has good 6's, increased flexibility & becomes a favorite to make his 5 point. Your suggested play, while making a crucial inner point, gives White a good 3. Otherwise, his 3's suck. Aces play well for White but he can't hit & make an inside point. So, a good number is duped. As I commented earlier, in all probability my suggested play is either a huge blunder..........or an alert, but daring. play.
