Fully Live Double Point

In Response To: Fully Live Double Point (AP)

There is a question in my mind about the most useful meaning of fully live take points when redoubles to 8 are possible. In particular, do you assume that redoubles to 8 and subsequent recubes are also fully live? Or do you assume the cube is dead when it reaches 4? Or do you assume something in between? I believe that XG2 assumes that the cube is dead after one recube, but it's been a while since I checked that, so I may be wrong. It certainly makes the calculation easier when you make that assumption.

It isn't really meaningful to talk about a fully live double point if it means anything other than the fully live take point. (In a continuous model, there would be no positions where the proper cube action was double / take other than pure borderline drop / takes. Everything else would be no double / take or double / drop.)
