I'd run here with 24/15. We're ahead in the race but we have two checkers stuck on the 24pt and White is threatening to improve her prime. Getting one of the checkers out of there and plopping it in front of White's stripped midpoint furthers our game plan. If White hits our bar-point blot, we will be disappointed, but White has to break anchor to do so and we have the stronger board. Plus, we'll have no trouble re-entering and we will have just two checkers back and so won't be that much worse off than we are now.

Playing 8/3 7/3, which I suspect was your choice, cleans up a blot but leaves us rather inflexible, with our forward checkers too far forward and our back checkers too far back. With White's weak board we can afford to play more boldly and purely than that.
