What is the score? I think you probably missed a cube before your roll. That also affects your play, with the cube in the center you probably can just play 18/13 and perhaps double next roll or after one more improvement, no need to make the 4-point and risk getting hit. In general, if you have a big advantage and access to the cube, you do not want to make plays that have large equity swings on the next roll.

If you have cubed, I like making the 4, making a 4-prime against the 3 back checkers. 18/13 is solid, but you'd have a stack on the midpoint with only three landing spots (but the landing spots are of good quality).

But the score is important, plays depend on whether or not you can use a gammon.
