Your procedure is great, trying to estimate the main line sequences after either play, before proceeding to bot help. You might want to use Gnubg's Temperature Map feature also -- analyze your 3-2 play, highlight the two plays, and hit the Temp. Map. button.
If white misses, say with 54 played 22/13,
If white hits, it's harder to say what is typical. Maybe 61 13/7*,8/7?
TM will show you that 5-4 is White's very best nonhitting number, and 6-1 is White's 4th best hitting number (only 6-6, 3-3, and 1-1 are better).
[after 18/13 ]if white rolls a typical 8 pips it's 132 to 145 which seems like a borderline pass [in a noncontact race]
No, a borderline pass would be more like a 132-147 lead in a noncontact race, so White would have an easy take with his 22-point anchor, your empty 4, 8 and 9 points, and your midpoint stack. And likewise, even if White rolls a less than average number.
You've considered so many things but you might want to consider one more thing that hasn't been mentioned: should Blue have doubled before rolling the 3-2?
