At this link we see the comparison of strength and strength v. speed in the clickable charts. I don't know but might it be worth it to use XGR+ for the cube instead of XGR? Also, if you get enough rollateers w/an i7 chip I'd suggest 4ply/XGR+ as the default settings.


Until some of us will have Ivy Bridge hexacore or octacore processors (spring 2012; "Intel is targeting a 30 percent graphics performance and 20 percent CPU performance boost compared to Sandy Bridge."), I think 4ply/XGR+ setting is too slow for this test to be finished in reasonable time.

As we can see in the chart, XG2 3-ply is stronger than XG1 4-ply!

That being said, I think XG2 3ply/XGR is very good balance between speed and strength.
