have a question for Michael on the number of positions.

I recall there were 4,500 positions rolled out last time.

This time there seems to be 14,500 positions or 10k more to RO !!

Surely adding XG2 to the mix can't add that many positions? Perhaps my recall of last time is faulty?

There were ~4900 positions but for each (checker play) position there are multiple candidates to roll out hence Xavier's larger figure.

Xavier can answer but I don't think XG2 found many unique positions where it had a different opinion to all other bots / plies except for some trivial ones.
