I'd play 8/2* 7/2 cause the alternative 23/18 15/9 leaves White with the attack plus a prime-vs-prime with better timing.

Maybe after 8/2 7/2 White should double from the bar and hope for a lucky hit with lots of gammons.

Well, after 23/18 15/9 White may roll 53 52 or 32 or 55. So at the end the passive play maybe the better one.

Really a difficult decision. Even the ultra-passive 15/9 6/1 is an idea.
