Why is dmp so important?

In Response To: Why is dmp so important? (Stick)

1) It comes up often, both from a 1a 1a score and from when a cube makes it dmp.

2) You often will be low on time so need to know the score consideration well.

3) There is a lot of match equity riding on that game.

4) The best play for dmp is often the correct play for other scores.

5) Understanding it well could be a good first step to understanding money games because how will one be able to account for gammons if one can't even estimate win chances well?
