The X79 chipset will not give any noticable improvement on XG (or other bots)

Compared to the 2600K, the hex core will give a 1.4 boost (XG does not scale perfectly). However, because of the higher TDP these chips run a bit slower (3.2 compared to 3.4 at stock speed for the 2600K). The overall gain should be 1.31, so calibrating around 6 Mpos/s.

the extra L3 cache may add a little bit of speed (if any)
